Pre-Diabetes & Diabetes Program
The Diabetes Program offers patients education and counselling to help you manage your diabetes and prevent complications.
The Diabetic team can help you with:
- Foot assessment and care
- Nutrition education and planning
- How and when to take your medications
- The importance of monitoring your blood sugar
- Self care education and planning that is specific to you
Living Well with Diabetes Group classes are offered in person. Patient and community members are invited to attend these classes.
Please note, we are running a 2 part series and ideally, we would like all participants to attend both sessions.
It is suggested that participants attend Part 1 first, but a short recap of the topics will be covered in Part 2.
Part 1 covers what is diabetes, how is it diagnosed, how is it managed (diet, exercise)

Part 2 covers both medications and complications related to diabetes
